Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Pumpernickel account and personal data at any time. The fastest way is right inside the app — but if you can’t get in, we’ll do it for you.
Delete in the app
- Open the Pumpernickel app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and profile are deleted right away.
Request deletion by email
Can’t access the app? Email us from the address on your account and we’ll delete it for you, usually within a couple of business days.

What gets deleted
- Your login and account profile.
- The research profile used to match you to studies.
- Any balance you haven’t cashed out is forfeited — cash out before you delete if you want to keep it.
We may retain limited records where the law requires it (for example, payout or tax records). See our Privacy Policy for details. Deletion is permanent and can’t be undone.
